It’s amazing to think that there are plenty of moms out there today who are going to college, studying for a better future and looking after their kids as well.  But many of them wouldn’t be where they are today if it wasn’t for the system of grants available throughout the US.

The best way to apply for this grant is to fill in the FAFSA.  This is a form which you can access easily online, and it is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.  This will allow you to apply for the Pell grant as well as to be considered for all kinds of other financial aid as well.

Since every type of grant and loan from the government is considered as a result of filling this form in, you will see that you will be effectively applying for several grants at once.  The Pell grant is just one of many you can be considered for, although it is one of the main ones that single moms are told of.
